Blobfish is an endangered fish that was found in 2003. A blobfish is also called the Ugliest fish in the world. Blobfish are mostly shorter than 30cm. The blobfish (Psychrolutes marcidus) is a foot-long pink fish which are seen in great depth of the ocean, they are most inhabits the deepwater of Australia, Tasmania, and also in the water of New Zealand.

Is Blobfish Edible

The experts say that the Blobfish is not edible to humans, because the blobfish (psychrolutes marcidus) contains almost no muscles at all. So never think about eating it as a dish in your home.




Is it a Threat

The blobfish is a deep-sea fish. They do not have any muscles, It seems to be little threat to humans. The main thing is that it lacks teeth for biting.

What is its food

The experts say that the blobfish eats anything that floats into their mouth, which is very dangerous. Because, if the floating substance were a harmful thing that is never meant to be eaten will cause disease or death.


Why blobfish is an endangered species

Scientists say that the major reason is overfishing. The blobfish is a rare fish which vote the ugliest fish in the world and is not edible for humans and also it is not an important animal in the echo system so when fishermen get a blobfish while they were fishing they leave it to die and don't put them back either.

The blobfish is special and unique endangered species.  there are almost 420 blobfish left in the world.
